Rituraj Singh was born on 23 May 1964 and he was an Indian television actor, well-known for his Bollywood roles. He appeared in several Indian TV series in various roles, including Jyoti, Hitler Didi, Shapath, Warrior High, Aahat, Adaalat, and Diya Aur Baati Hum. Banegi Apni Baat debuted on Zee TV in 1993. Additionally, he appeared in the Colors TV series Laado 2 as Balwant Chodhary.

Rituraj Singh Chandrawat Sisodia was the full name of Rituraj Singh. He was born into a Sisodia Rajput family in Kota, Rajasthan. Despite being a native of Rajasthan, he did not reside in his own state as such. Singh attended Delhi for his education. After that, when he was twelve, he returned to India from the United States. 1993 saw him relocate to and settle in Mumbai.

Singh spent twelve years performing in Delhi with Barry John’s Theatre Action Group (TAG), and he was a part of the Zee TV hit game show Tol Mol Ke Bol. Singh was featured in the Zee5 web series Abhay as well. Kunal Khemu made his digital debut with this web series.

The early hours of Tuesday saw the death of actor Rituraj Singh,59, after cardiac arrest. Actor Amit Behl, the chairman of the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), confirmed Singh’s death to India Today. According to Behl, the actor, who is well-known for his role in the hit TV series Anupamaa, experienced a heart arrest on Tuesday at around 12:30 in the morning.

Additionally, he mentioned that Singh was receiving therapy for pancreas-related problems. TV producer Sandiip Sikcand and Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi both expressed shock at Singh’s passing.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Arshad Warsi said that Rituraj Singh had contributed to his debut production as a producer. “I am deeply grieved to learn of Ritu Raj’s passing. He was in my first picture as a producer, and we shared an apartment. Lost a brilliant actor and a friend,” Warsi tweeted.

Conversely, Sikcand remembered about his time spent collaborating with Singh on the well-liked TV series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, which was supported by Ekta Kapoor.

“I am devastated and startled to hear the news! I’ve been in disbelief ever since someone shared the news early in the morning on one of my WhatsApp groups. In “Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii,” Ritu and I collaborated closely. He was among the few actors on the show that greeted me with warmth.

In a statement that India Today was able to receive, Sikcand wished for his wife and children to have the fortitude to cope with the loss and for his soul to rest in peace.

Known for his work on The Vaccine War and The Kashmir Files, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri posted on X with the following message: “Rituraj, my friend, how did you make it even possible?”Kinda baaki tha…,” artists are immortal. “Om Shanti (sic).”

Regarding his professional career, Rituraj Singh most recently portrayed the harsh restaurant owner Yashpal in the well-liked TV series Anupamaa, which starred Rupali Ganguly. In addition to Anupamaa, he has contributed to other web series, films, and TV shows.

Among his best-known pieces are Banegi Apni Baat, Criminal Justice, Abhay, Bandish Bandits, Made in Heaven, Yeh Risha Kya Kehlata Hai, Badrinath ki Dulhania, Thunivu, and Indian Police Force.
